Whatcom County PUD #1 – Water Systems SCADA/Telemetry Addition
Ferndale, Washington – TSI finished a large design/build SCADA/telemetry project for the PUD. The work consisted of renovating the control system for both Water Treatment Plants owned by the PUD, and adding telemetry to 7 remote sites. The work required close communication with plant staff, so that the water plants are not shutdown during operation. The telemetry required the use UHF radios and TSI supplied and installed a repeater so that all sites could communicate. TSI also supplied a Ethernet LAN, programmed new reporting and trending software, and a new HMI at both plants. TSI also provided all the engineering, programming, panel fabrication, startup, and training.
