HCTP Network and SCADA Upgrade Project
Thousand Oaks, CA – TSI was the prime contractor and programmer in a project to upgrade the SCADA and HMI system at the Hill Canyon wastewater treatment plant to a new Rockwell Software PlantPAx system. The original system was based on Allen-Bradley SLC 500 series PLCs and RSView human machine interface (HMI) software. We replaced 17 SLC 5/05 CPUs with CompactLogix CPUs and converted the existing SLC I/O racks to remote I/O for the new CPUs. TSI provided control panel hardware, networking equipment, computer and server hardware and software for the upgrade. We installed and configured the equipment and worked closely with plant staff to ensure all of the plant’s operational needs were met. The result was a state of the art plant control system with visualization, alarming, historical collection and extensive data reporting capabilities.
